MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

INTUITIVE EVENTS LTD, LET’S ALL TALK MENTAL HEALTH MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

Intuitive Events Ltd is committed to conducting its business ethically and responsibly and to taking reasonable and proportionate steps to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain.

As a small UK business, Intuitive Events Ltd is not legally required under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement. We have nevertheless chosen to demonstrate our commitment to responsible business practices and to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

OUR ORGANISATION

Intuitive Events Ltd is a UK-based multi-platform events company. Since 2009, we have developed and delivered live events, online programmes and expert-led content.

We are a small business operating primarily through our Directors and a network of specialist contractors. We work with experts, clinicians, speakers, organisations and service providers in the UK and internationally to deliver our events and programmes.

WHAT WE MEAN BY MODERN SLAVERY

Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking, including situations where an individual is exploited, coerced or prevented from leaving their employment freely.

We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, child labour or other forms of exploitation within our business or supply chain.

OUR SUPPLIERS AND CONTRACTORS

Our supply chain is relatively short and consists primarily of technology and software providers, professional services, event venues and suppliers, and specialist contractors who support the delivery of our events and programmes.

We primarily use established suppliers and service providers in the UK and internationally and expect those we work with to operate lawfully and ethically and to comply with applicable employment and modern slavery legislation.

We will not knowingly work with any supplier or contractor involved in modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, child labour or exploitation.

Where subcontractors are engaged in the delivery of a contract, we will ensure that appropriate anti-slavery and human trafficking requirements are included in our contractual arrangements where required.

ASSESSING AND MANAGING RISK

We consider our exposure to modern slavery and human trafficking to be low. Our business is UK-based, our work is predominantly professional and specialist in nature, we do not rely on temporary or low-skilled agency labour, and our supply chain is relatively short and primarily consists of established service providers.

We recognise, however, that modern slavery risks can arise through suppliers and contractors even where the risk within our own business is low.

We therefore take a proportionate, risk-based approach when engaging suppliers and contractors.

Where suppliers or subcontractors are engaged in the delivery of a public sector or other contract, we will undertake appropriate and proportionate checks to satisfy ourselves that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within the relevant supply chain.

Where appropriate, this may include obtaining information about a supplier or subcontractor, reviewing their relevant policies or public statements, and making reasonable enquiries about their compliance with modern slavery legislation and whether they or relevant individuals have been convicted of modern slavery or human trafficking offences.

Price is not our sole consideration when selecting suppliers. We also consider factors including quality, reputation, reliability and appropriate business practices.

PEOPLE WORKING WITH US

We aim to ensure that everyone working for or on behalf of Intuitive Events Ltd is treated fairly, with dignity and respect.

We do not use forced, bonded, compulsory, involuntary prison or child labour and will not knowingly allow these practices within the supply chain supporting our contracts.

We do not require anyone working with us to surrender identity documents or pay deposits as a condition of working with Intuitive Events Ltd.

Our contractors are engaged directly or through established professional arrangements. We expect everyone working with us to comply with applicable laws and our standards of ethical conduct.

RAISING AND REPORTING CONCERNS

Directors and contractors are encouraged to raise any concern or suspicion about modern slavery, human trafficking, exploitation or unethical working practices with a Director of Intuitive Events Ltd.

Any concern raised will be taken seriously and considered promptly. Where we identify credible concerns relating to a supplier or contractor, we will investigate and take appropriate and proportionate action. This may include seeking further information, requiring corrective action or ending the business relationship where appropriate.

Where required under a contract, any discovery or reasonable suspicion of modern slavery or human trafficking involving Intuitive Events Ltd or a subcontractor will also be reported to the relevant contracting authority and appropriate reporting body, including the Modern Slavery Helpline where applicable.

AWARENESS

We promote awareness of the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 within our business and ensure that those working with us understand that they should raise any concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery or human trafficking.

Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery rests with the Directors of Intuitive Events Ltd.

REPORTING AND REVIEW

Where required under a public sector or other contract, Intuitive Events Ltd will provide any required annual modern slavery and human trafficking report or certification setting out the proportionate steps we have taken to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and relevant supply chain.

This policy has been approved by the Directors of Intuitive Events Ltd and will be reviewed annually, or sooner if there is a significant change to our business, supply chain or relevant legal, regulatory or contractual requirements.
